Holiday Wishes and New Year's Resolutions

My intention when I launched this blog back in June was to post regularly with ideas, inspiration and other notable bits of interest. Here we are at mid-December. Where did the time go?

Happy to say that my spring/summer craft show season was busier than I anticipated, and the fall season proved to be brisk as well. I've just completed my craft shows for 2015 and have begun working on my new collection which I look forward to sharing early in the new year. I also resolve to post regularly on this blog, making it a fun place to get a creative boost.

Meanwhile, here's some eye candy I found during my visit to Santa Fe this summer. A little peek into the colors that will be part of my new collection...

Up and Running

Well, it's official. My blog is up and running, and I'm very excited to share news, ideas, inspiration and anything else I think you'll find fun and interesting to read.

For instance, I'm often asked where I get inspiration to create my jewelry. Sometimes I find it in the intricate petals of a flower or in the colorful wings of tropical birds. Sometimes its in the matrix of a semi-precious stone or in the syncopated rhythms of a Renaissance tune. Sometimes an idea flows fully formed as it did when I wrote my ode to beadwork. It seems fitting that I share that ode in this first blog post. It expresses my joy in weaving beads and creating the wearable art that has become my trademark.
